Help the Learn and Discover Team

Warwickshire Wildlife Trust has education centres at its sites in Coventry and Solihull and is looking for volunteers to help run a wide range of formal and informal learning activities for children and families aimed at providing pupils with a hands-on approach to wildlife in a fun but educational way.

Help is required with leading and assisting school groups ranging from 3-19 years old who visit the centres to do practical activities relating to National Curriculum requirements. Help with school groups is particularly required April - July but training will be provided before the busy period is upon us!

Volunteers are also needed for our informal education activities. We require volunteers to assist with wildlife workshops during school holidays and to help run our 'Really Wild Birthday Parties' at Brandon Marsh or Brueton Park each weekend.

Warwickshire Wildlife Trust staff will provide training for all its activities. Previous experience working with children is desirable, but not essential.

There are also opportunities to assist our education team in the office by helping to take and complete bookings, preparing resources and helping to spread the word about the team and what Warwickshire Wildlife Trust's education team has to offer.

For more information on any of the above opportunities please contact Amanda Evans, Volunteer Manager on 0121 704 0768 or at amanda.evans@wkwt.org.uk.
