Help Local Wildlife as a Volunteer for
the Trust
Volunteers are invaluable to our work -
without them we would not be able to do half as much! Volunteers
bring new ideas and unique skills and knowledge to the Trust and
their commitment and belief in our work strengthens us as an
organisation.
There are many ways you can help us, as our
network of over 350 volunteers have already discovered - practical
conservation work, inspiring the next generation about wildlife or
helping at events are just some of them.
Volunteering is a rewarding experience allowing you to develop
skills and interests, to meet new people and above all, to
contribute to the conservation of some of Warwickshire's most
valuable natural areas.
We would really welcome your help as a volunteer at any of our
sites - whether it is for an odd day or a few hours on a regular
basis. Whatever time you can donate will make an important
contribution to our overall work.
We aim to encourage people from all walks of life, with a variety
of life experiences to come and volunteer and become involved in
our work. Some roles do require specific skills or experience but
most allow you to learn as you go along, after receiving
appropriate on-the-job training and guidance from a staff member or
experienced volunteer.
You do not need to be a member to volunteer. We recognise that
people offer their support and help in a variety of different ways.
Some people give donations of money; some people offer their time
as volunteers. We are extremely grateful for your support,
whichever way you give it.
We look forward to welcoming you to the network of volunteers who
help us to work for a Warwickshire rich in wildlife, which is
valued and enjoyed by people!
Warwickshire Wildlife
Trust provides insurance cover for all volunteers up to the age of
80, responsible adults should accompany children under

Survey
Force Volunteers Needed
Every other Monday 10am
-1pm
The idea behind Survey Force is to do mini
Bioblitzs over a range of sites where perhaps we have
little or no recent data. So to start with the aim will be to
generate up to date species lists. This may evolve depending on who
comes along. All levels of experience and expertise
will be welcomed, as it's another aim of Survey Force is
to bring people together to share knowledge and feel comfortable
with recording. If anyone shows a strong interest in a particular
type of recording I can sign post them to the specialist recording
groups in the county, such as the Warwickshire Flora Group or
Butterfly Conservation.
The group will meet every other Monday
morning. Leaving Brandon Marsh Nature Centre
at 10am and returning by 1pm. You can of course meet us on
site. Can you please let me know if you are planning on joining us
and if you are going from Brandon or
meeting on site, so that I can tailor the activities depending on
who's coming. Please bring identification guides if you have them.
I will provide more details of each visit nearer the
time.
