Well done to Ian Jelley, the Trust's Head
of Living Landscapes (Reserves), who walked 40 miles in 12
hours on Saturday 10th September 2011 to raise money for the
Trust.
Ian walked around Pitsford Reservoir and
was supported in his challenge by the people at www.nordicwalkingint.com who kindly
donated a pair of nordic walking poles to help him maintain his
consistent lap times. Ian raised around £500, which will go towards
work to extend the reedbeds at Brandon Marsh, forming an area large
enough to support water vole, otter, and bittern.
