This page lists 50 of our Nature Reserves, including where they are and what to see. There are more details in our Nature Reserves Handbook, available from the Trust Office at Brandon Marsh Nature Centre.  About one third of our Nature Reserves are owned by the Trust, with nearly a half owned by local councils and managed in partnership with the Trust.  To link to the websites of some of our key partners, click here Small Tortoiseshell  The remainder are privately owned, with the Trust looking after the reserve with the agreement of the owners.

Listed below are details of the Trust's Nature Reserves, including how to get there and what to look for. The position  of the main entrance is given with a six-figure grid reference, so that you can use the Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 Landranger Series maps to find them.

Where the reserves have locked car parks, use the Trust combination padlock fitted to the gate - the lock will open when the hasp is pushed into the lock body. Please lock the gate after you enter the car park and when you leave.

Please contact the Trust Office or the person listed for each reserve if you want to visit with an organised party, or if you would like to help with practical management work or with wildlife recording. Specimens may only be taken if you have written permission from the Trust.

SSSI is short for Site of Special Scientific Interest and
LNR stands for Local Nature Reserve.
