Clowes Wood
CLOWES WOOD AND NEW FALLINGS COPPICE SSSI. 1km W of Earlswood. Entrance SP101743. 44.5 ha (110 acres) Clowes Wood owned since 1974, New Fallings Coppice management agreement with Bournville Village Trust. Open access. 

Broad-leaved woodland on acid soils bisected by railway line. Diverse habitat includes heathland and wet meadow. Bluebell, lily of the valley, cow-wheat and bilberry. Woodcock and all 3 woodpeckers. Car park in Wood Lane. Contact: Ron Hill, 0121 705 1429.
