Eddie Asbery, Woodland Project Officer
says, "After the long bitter winter the explosion of spring flowers
and leaves is really welcome, and the bluebell is one of the most
iconic of our British wild flowers - but it is under threat from
hybridization by the Spanish bluebells commonly grown in our
gardens and sometimes dumped in the countryside. To find out how we
maintain our native bluebell sites and how you can distinguish
between the different types, come along to Crackley Woods for a
great evening."
