Corporate Members in Action

The financial support which we receive from corporate supporters (see our corporate membership page) is often combined with practical hands-on involvement by their employees. This is a powerful combination, allowing companies to identify with particular projects and to involve their whole team in the conservation effort.

Team tasks could involve practical conservation work such as pond-building or maintenance, fence or path construction, clearing invasive scrub, cutting or planting trees, and other activities to help manage sites for wildlife and community benefit. There may also be other opportunities to get involved such as raising funds or organising events to support the work of the Trust in the local area.

Team tasks can usually be arranged to suit the needs of your group, taking into account the number of participants and range of abilities.

As well as raising your company profile within the local community, these tasks can help to build relationships within teams, boost morale, and provide an opportunity for employees to interact with each other in a non-work setting. This in turn can have a beneficial effect on productivity as employees return to work feeling motivated and inspired.

We have over 55 nature reserves around the county, most of which can host innovative events.

Why use Warwickshire Wildlife Trust as your host?

You will not only help support a grass roots environmental organisation and have tangible practical outcomes to your team building, but you will also have an opportunity to learn new skills in unique outdoor settings.

Past team building events have included activities such as:

Woodland coppicing | Scrub clearing | Pond management | Board walk construction | Tree identification

We have many other activities that we have not yet had the opportunity to adapt to make interesting, productive team building activities, so please ring us and see what we can arrange for you.

What we can provide:

Planning | Activity supervision | First aid cover | Tools

All training (health and safety and conservation management)

The level of planning and supervision is flexible depending on your targets for the event.

Targets

To make your time with us as productive as possible, you may like to think about targets that you want to achieve for individuals or the whole team. These can range from helping your staff get to know each other more or helping them to take on new challenges, to providing an opportunity for team members to experience new leadership roles.

If you wish to provide key targets for the day we encourage you to discuss them with us so that we can make the most of them from the start.
