WILD WEEK activities

As part of Wild Week, in conjunction with BBC Breathing Places, Warwickshire Wildlife Trust is offering fabulous holiday activities for children aged 4-11 at the Brandon Marsh Nature Centre, Coventry .  With a variety of different themes, from autumn rambles to ghoulish games, the workshops are jam-packed with creative and hands-on activities to keep all children occupied.

The workshops taking place are ‘Autumn Watch’ on 23rd October, ‘Meet the Mallards’ on 24th October, ‘Wonderful Water Boatman’ on 25th October and ‘Ghoulish Games’ on 26th October 2007.

Children’s workshops cost £4 per child and booking is essential to avoid disappointment as places can sometimes be limited. They are from 10.30am-12.00pm. All activities will involve using the outdoor environment for learning and creative inspiration. At each workshop there is a variety of topical crafts available for children to make and take home.

Katie Dodd , Education Officer for Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, said: “Whatever the weather we will be going outside to explore the Nature Reserve. We have a great variety of activities available this half term, giving children the opportunity to learn about a whole host of animals.”

The “Wild Events & Activities” guide is available on request. It gives a full and comprehensive listing of all public events run by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust throughout Warwickshire, Solihull and Coventry , including a free Volunteer Fair & Open Day on Saturday 17th February 2008.
