SUMMER OF FUN IN THE WILD
This summer holiday, Warwickshire Wildlife Trust are
offering fabulous holiday activities at Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve for
children aged 4-11. A different wildlife workshop is being held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
of the summer holidays up until September 3rd 2007.
Activities include Pond Pirates, Countryside Collage and Summer
Watch incorporating pond dipping, outdoor art and many more.
The workshops are from 10.30am-12.00pm and all activities will involve
using the outdoor environment for learning and exploration. For each
activity there are a variety of crafts available for children to make and
take home.
Katie Dodd, Education Officer for Warwickshire
Wildlife Trust, said: “Summer is a
great time for children to be outdoors. We will make the most of the good
weather, abundant wildlife and beautiful environments of Brandon Marsh
Nature Reserve. However, we are never daunted by the bad weather and still
venture out and about regardless! Our new line up of activities is certain
to provide something for everyone. ”
Children’s workshops cost £4 per child and booking
is essential to avoid disappointment, as places can sometimes be limited.
The “Wild Events and Activities” guide gives a full and comprehensive
listing of all public events run by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust throughout
Warwickshire, Solihull and
Coventry
, including an upcoming special family event in October for our WATCH
members.
