MID-SUMMER WALKING AND WORKING.

On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July 2007 Warwickshire Wildlife Trust invites you to a guided walk at Welcombe Hills LNR and a work party at Kenilworth Common.

  • On Saturday 28th July at 10.00 am join Reserves Volunteering Officer, Ian Jelley, at Welcombe Hills Local Nature Reserve for a guided walk which will explore the historical and ecological features of this unique local nature reserve.

Please meet at the top of Maidenhead Road [GR SP205 563]

COST:             £2 per person

  • On Sunday 29th July at 10.00am:

Join volunteer warden Howard Eccles for a mid-summer work party at Kenilworth Common Local Nature Reserve. Please meet at the entrance off Common Lane , Kenilworth at grid reference SP 298 732.

For all events all you need to bring is appropriate weatherproof clothing and strong footwear.

Ian Jelley, Reserves Volunteering Officer at Warwickshire Wildlife Trust says, “This is a wonderful time of year to come and enjoy our reserves and, as well as appreciating them in their full summer glory, this guided walk is a great opportunity to learn more about Welcombe Hills.. Nature Reserves don’t manage themselves, however, so anyone who can come and help with the work party at Kenilworth Common will be very welcome. You’ll have a great time, and benefit your local environment into the bargain.”
