SPRING  GUIDED WALKS AND WORK PARTY

On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th April 2007 Warwickshire Wildlife Trust invites you to two guided walks and one work party on nature reserves around the county.

  • At 10.00 am on Saturday 28th April join Warden John Hancock for a guided walk at Harbury Spoilbank Site of Special Scientific Interest. This special and understated grassland has a fantastic variety of rare wildflowers including six species of orchids and 28 species of butterflies. Please meet at the reserve entrance off the B4452 Harbury to Deppers Bridge Road . (SP 384598)

    At 10.00 am on Sunday 29th April join Warden Harry Ratcliffe at Rough Hill Wood Site of Special Scientific Interest for a guided walk around this ancient woodland. This oak woodland has many uncommon woodland plants and this walk offers a fantastic opportunity to view them at their best. Please meet at the nature reserve car park off The Slough (A448) (SP052637)
At 9.30 on Sunday 29th April, join the warden team at Brandon Marsh Site of Special Scientific Interest, near Coventry and assist in the management of this wetland nature reserve famed for its impressive variety of birds. Please meet at the car park at Brandon Marsh Nature Centre, off Brandon Lane at grid reference at SP386761
To assist in the management of our nature reserves, we ask for a donation of £2.00 per person for our guided walks. Joining our work parties is free of charge.

For all events all you need to bring is appropriate weatherproof clothing and strong footwear.
