Caroline
Bailey, Reserves Biodiversity Officer at Warwickshire Wildlife Trust says,
“Autumn
really is upon us now and whilst the work in our gardens may be geared to
closing down for the winter, this is the busiest time of year for our
wardens and their volunteer work parties. Now is our opportunity to put in
as much work as possible to make sure that when the wild flowers bloom
next spring, and the birds start nesting early in the new year, their
habitats are will be in tip-top condition. New volunteers are always
welcome, and we’re pretty sure that you will end up with not only a
first class appetite for tea, but also an appetite for worthwhile outdoor
work done in great company and with the guaranteed gratitude of your
customers, the wildlife.”
