2008…………...For Immediate Release
EARLY
SUMMER
WOODLAND
WORK PARTY
On Sunday 15th June 2008 Warwickshire Wildlife Trust
invites you to join in with our work party.
At 10.00 am:
Join
volunteer warden Dave Solliss at
Hampton
Wood, Barford to work in this
beautiful ancient woodland and its associated water meadows alongside the
River Avon. Meet at the entrance [grid reference SP254600] on the
Sherbourne to Hampton Lucy road.
This event is free
and full training will be given.
For each event, all
you need to bring is appropriate weatherproof clothing and strong
footwear.
Eddie
Asbery, Reserves Volunteering Officer at Warwickshire Wildlife Trust says,
“The dreary weather may be an unwanted reminder of this time last year,
but console yourself with the knowledge that the cause of the trouble, the
jet stream, is looped over
Spain
and
Portugal
so the weather in
Western Europe
is just as vile as it is here. Cheer yourself up by helping with our Work
Party at
Hampton
Wood. The work you’ll do is crucial to the management of the Reserve,
you’ll make new friends and, best of all – the weather won’t bother
you a bit!”
