Introduction

Find out about your local habitats, how they are being looked after, and why.

This series of eight informal study days will explore the issues of conserving and managing natural and semi-natural habitats. How can the needs of wildlife can be reconciled with commercial demands as well as the legislation?  How can land be looked after to promote wildlife?  Come and find out what is being done in our local patch - and in the afternoon visit a wildlife site and to observe some of the issues discussed in the morning. You will also learn about some of the wildlife favouring these habitats.

All meetings are at Brandon Marsh Nature Centre, starting at 10:00am and finishing at approximately 3:30pm.  Booking is essential.  The fee of £7.50 per person (£5 for Warwickshire Wildlife Trust members) includes a donation to the Trust's work.

The eight topics are : Wetlands, Countryside Management, Urban Environments, Industrial Environments, Farmland, Woodlands, Landscape Interpretation and Grasslands.
