Geology Trail Opening

Opened by Nigel Marven on 4 July 2004

TV's Nigel Marven (and son Theo) came to open the Geology Trail at the Parkridge Centre in Brueton Park, Solihull, on Sunday 4 July.  His opening speech followed welcomes and thanks from Trust Chief Executive Dr Andy Tasker and the Chairman of Warwickshire Geological Conservation Group, Brian Ellis.

The Geology Trail is a series of display panels in the Nature Area at Brueton Park, highlighting the rocks that make up our area.  With the title 'Deserts and Sea Dragons', Solihull and Warwickshire have certainly changed a little over the last few million years.  Click here to see other pictures of the opening.

To find out more, please come and visit the Geology Tail at the Parkridge Centre, which is open 7-days a week - for details and times please phone our hotline on 0121 704 0768
